Dr. Meena Sharma has taught yoga since 2012 — in classrooms, in annual camps, and on the floor at national and district yogasana championships. She holds a doctorate in yoga from Mewar University and the title of Yoga Acharya from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University at Haridwar, and she teaches in Hindi and English from Dehradun.
Her training did not begin with āsana. It began with a science degree in zoology, botany and chemistry, and ran alongside three and a half years of naturopathy — which is why her classes tend to explain what a posture is doing to a body rather than only how it should look.
